About
I am a metamodernist artist working with ceramics, and through my work I aim for the viewer to experience something — a moment, a thought, or a feeling. I live in the Finnish countryside, in the middle of a field, which gives me space and quiet for my work, and I love being in the creative process; it is my favorite state and feels almost like air to me, something I need to feel that life is good.
My main interest is glaze development. I spend a lot of time experimenting with recipes and techniques, exploring how different materials, layers, and processes interact. These experiments often become part of the final pieces, making each object unique. Two rescued dogs live with me, and they are part of my everyday life and creativity, sharing the space where I work and experiment.
